Contents
Thiamine mononitrate (vit B1) 300 mg, pyridoxine HCl (vit B6) 100 mg, cyanocobalamin (vit B12) 100 mcg
Indications/Uses
Prevention & treatment of vit B-complex deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Therapeutic use 2-4 cap may be given daily until acute symptoms subside. Chronic cases May require longer therapy & dosage may be adjusted. Prophylactic use 1-2 cap daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Not suitable for childn due to high content of vit B-complex.
Special Precautions
Regular monitoring for neuropathies under long-term intake/treatment (6-12 mth of vit B6 >50 mg mean daily dose). May inhibit production of breast milk in high doses of vit B6 ie, >600 mg daily.
Adverse Reactions
Sensitivity to vit B1 (very rare) at prolonged intervals & in patients w/ liver dysfunctions.
Drug Interactions
Pyridoxine: Reduced effect of levodopa. Efficacy may be decreased w/ pyridoxine-antagonists (eg, INH, cycloserine, penicillamine, hydralazine). Thiamine: Blood level may be reduced w/ loop diuretics (eg, furosemide) in long-term use.
